UTF-8, ansi och åäö

Ibland när man jobbar med Opensource projekt så är de inte alltid helt 100% anpassade för Sverige. Idag t.ex. satt jag med en .sql fil i ansi format som ska läsas in av php och skjutas in i databasen. Så långt inga problem. Däremot verkar killarna som gjort scriptet strulat lite med tänkandet, för filen innehåller tyska ü i ansiformat som ska läsas i utf-8 dvs i hela filen är  alla ü ersatta med ü Vilket vart riktigt irriterande när jag skulle lägga in Svenskan i filen, åäö fungerade nämligen inte. Firebug computed MS Shell Dlg

Ran into a problem the other day, I had created a web page, div / css, it validated in w3c. The only font setting that was set, was on the body tag, font-family:Georgira. For some reason, none of the input buttons was displaying the correct font, they all fell back to Verdana, in Firebug I could see that the CSS body{font-family:Georgia} was being included in the styles list, but when checking the computed tab, it said font-family was MS Shell Dlg. i did a lot of googling about this, without any success.
